Our Veterinary Team
Dr. Kimberly Ussery, DVM
Dr. Ussery grew up in Austin, Texas, in a lively household filled with animals—from hamsters and guinea pigs to parrots, fish, and family dogs. Her love for animals only grew through her involvement in Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she raised sheep, goats, and rabbits and found a passion for teamwork on the horse judging team, eventually serving as an officer. These experiences deepened her dedication to animal care and set the stage for her future in veterinary medicine.
She received her biomedical science degree in Canyon, Texas, at West Texas A&M University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ussery began her journey in veterinary medicine as a technician during high school in Austin and continued working in Lockhart both before and during veterinary school. She loves caring for all animals and is proud to be an integral part of the Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic of Lockhart team.
At home, Dr. Ussery has a border collie named Geralt, two cats named Hades and Poseidon, and a horse named Dixie. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, riding Dixie, and relaxing with her pets and family.
