Mario Arredondo, DVM
Dr. Mario Arredondo Galindo was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico and grew up in San Antonio, TX. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at A&M.
A mixed animal practitioner, Dr. Arredondo has joined the Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic team with a strong passion for equine and food animal medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Arredondo enjoys traveling and attending A&M football games.
Melissa D. Havemann, DVM
Dr. Melissa Havemann grew up in Jarrell, Texas showing in the English and Western Equine Circuit. She went to Texas A&M for her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and veterinary school. During her stay at Texas A&M, she worked as a veterinary technician in a large equine hospital, ran an equine boarding facility, and worked in an Equine Infectious Disease Lab. After she graduated with her DVM from Texas A&M, she completed an internship at an equine referral hospital in California servicing 30 local referral veterinarians. It was during her internship that she developed her love of emergency & medical cases as well as lameness. She moved back home to Texas upon the completion of her internship and worked at one of the largest mixed animal practices in Texas at Alvarado Veterinary Clinic.
Horses are Dr. Havemann’s passion, but she can never say no to the small furry friends. In her free time, she enjoys riding her two horses, Kai and Feather, spending time with her dogs, Cooper and Barkley, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Denton. She is very excited to be a part of the Chisholm Trail Veterinary team and looks forward to assisting you with your animals’ needs!
Audry Helburn, DVM
Dr. Audry Helburn was born in Tyler, Texas and grew up in Round Rock, Texas. She got a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Animal Behavior from Southwestern University. While there, she also played soccer for the Lady Pirates and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta. She then earned her doctorate from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. After vet school, she completed an equine internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Salado, Texas.
Dr. Helburn loves being part of a mixed practice because she enjoys seeing animals of every kind, from snakes to horses. Her own household includes three cats, a newt, and a tortoise. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, playing soccer, and cooking.
